Former President Donald Trump spent time with Senator Bill Hagerty (R-TN) while visiting Tennessee over the weekend. Previously, Hagerty traveled to Florida to visit Trump.
According to a tweet from the lawmaker, the duo played a round of golf and discussed “the future of our country and the type of strong leadership we need.”
“It’s always a good day when our 45th President Donald J. Trump is in Tennessee! Wonderful to play a round of golf with him on one of our state’s beautiful courses and to talk about the future of our country and the type of strong leadership we need,” Hagerty said in the tweet.

Trump visited the state to attend the Faith & Freedom Coalition’s Road to Majority Policy Conference, which maintains the goal of equipping “attendees with the knowledge and connections they need to drive engagement and voter turnout” in the upcoming midterm elections.
The former president served as the keynote speaker of the event, as hundreds of conservatives flocked to the state to participate in the conference.
“We believe that the United States of America is the greatest and most virtuous republic in the history of the world, we’re going to keep it that way,” Trump said during his address.
In addition to Trump, multiple notable lawmakers and officials addressed the crowd, including Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), and GOP Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel.
Hagerty, who also spoke to the crowd, has remained one of Trump’s staunchest allies since winning election to the U.S. Senate—benefitting from Trump’s endorsement.
Additionally, after Trump left office, Hagerty filled a large number of positions on his staff with former Trump staff members.

Where was Sen. Blackburn while President Trump was in Tennessee over the weekend? Doesn’t Blackburn play golf or ever ‘socialize’ at the nineteenth hole? Or was Blackburn just too busy cleaning out her closets at her house over the weekend?
One of my problems (to me it is a BIG problem) with Blackburn is that despite her votes (most of which I approve although they are just meaningless ‘show votes’ in that the Republicans do not now control the Senate, and besides, everyone now understands how Senate votes can be ‘gamed’ for public relations effect) I think that she is in Mitch McConnell’s ‘pocket’ and that she will be a SOLID vote for him to retain his Senate Republican Leader position in the next Congress and ALL which that will mean concerning everything that comes before that body. In my opinion, McConnell MUST be replaced.
In other words (I am sorry to say), when it REALLY matters, I think that Blackburn is a SOLID vote FOR the ‘swamp.’ Things will not improve in D. C. for the American people, not really, so long as the ‘swamp’ wins.
Never forget Haggerty is a RINO hack that sat quietly after the 2020 presidential election was stolen from Trump.
Nikki Haley is trash just like the rest of South Carolina GOP! Thank God NC has the great Mark Robinson!
